This 500 m² private residence in Linyi is built around the contrast between the expressive character of natural walnut and the visual clarity of soft white surfaces.
Developed and delivered by TREGAZZE Linyi, the project brings interior design, bespoke millwork, furniture and styling together within a consistent material framework. Walnut introduces depth, grain and natural variation, while white painted finishes create moments of lightness and give the darker timber room to breathe.
Rather than using wood as an applied decorative finish, the bespoke millwork is conceived as part of the spatial composition. Cabinetry and architectural elements establish continuity between different areas of the home, allowing storage and function to sit naturally within the interior.
The restrained material palette gives greater importance to proportion, junctions and surface quality. It is the relationship between materials, rather than their quantity, that defines the character of the residence.
The result is a composed contemporary home where natural variation and controlled detailing coexist, demonstrating how bespoke woodwork can give structure and identity to an entire interior.
