LINQUAN ELEGANT RESIDENCE, DALIAN

Walnut as an architectural language.

Designed by Jin Zhengdao of Hanyi Design, this 800 m² private residence in Dalian is shaped by a clear material idea: using natural walnut not as a decorative finish, but as a continuous architectural element.

Throughout the residence, bespoke woodwork establishes rhythm and continuity between spaces. The depth and natural variation of walnut bring warmth to the scale of the interior, while custom painted finishes introduce quieter surfaces and controlled contrast.

Delivered by TREGAZZE Dalian, the bespoke elements are conceived as part of the overall interior rather than as individual pieces. Cabinetry, architectural surfaces and furniture are resolved through a consistent material vocabulary, allowing function to integrate naturally into the spatial composition.

The result is a residence where craftsmanship is present without becoming ornamental. Material, proportion and precise execution work together to create an interior that feels considered, cohesive and distinctly residential.
